About Me
Hello, my name is Mike but most people just call me by my surname. “Bundy” does have a somewhat mixed response based on the audience’s age group though - Millenials and older think I sell shoes for a living. Gen Z and younger… well, Netflix ruined it for me.
I’m a Software Engineer by trade, but I’m keenly interested in technology as a whole. I started coding at the ripe old age of 12. I used to enjoy text based games and wanted to create one for myself - so I taught myself the LAMP stack. That’s a somewhat dated term now, but it put me in good stead for the rest of my career. Apache became NGinx, Mysql became MarioDB (though I use PostgresQL), PHP became literally anything else. I tend to use Python or Go in my spare time or when building prototypes. My day job dictates that I use Java when writing “production quality” code.
Despite being from the UK I enjoy watching American Football and support the Dallas Cowboys. I played on the O-line when I was at university.
In my spare time I enjoy listening to the Economist Podcasts, tinkering with my home server, and trying to get Arduinos to automate my home.
